12th and 13th was two full “kid’s day”.
On the 12th, we set out in the morning with childlike exuberance, sharing one ultimate goal and that is to brighten up their day in their “mini jail” – the childcare.
Well, of course with the awesome accompany made up by Uncle Steven, Didi Shawn, Jeanette and her two friends, Mei Hui and Douglas. We visited a total of two childcares that day. =D
In the 1st childcare, there was this interesting figure who immediately caught our eyes when we step into the room. There is this kid who you might think that he/she cross-dressed. He has this long hair and is very girl looking. Just imagine a mini Paul Two Hill.
In the midst of the game, some kid squabble arose. At that moment, he was feeling full of indignant and was frowning, sitting at one corner. Then, as a “big korkor” in the childcare, I initiated to talk to him. I started the topic by askinghim why does he have a hairstyle that’s so rocker-like? And also ask him whether if he liked that hairstyle.
He immediately shook his head and said that it was all his mom’s decision. He also told me that he hated his hair because the other kids in the childcare love to make fun of him by calling him a girl. Well, under my wings of love, everything went well and he started to smile and regained the spirit in him!
Thereafter, he just couldn’t stop babbling about MapleStory. He just went on and on with MapleStory and more MapleStory. How niceee~
As interesting as his hairstyle, this is a 5-year-old boy name Denzel.
On the 13th, only me and me alone, I went over the 2nd childcare. A childcare I also went on the 12th.
Side Track:
Ohh, before that I actually went to tutor a kid who name Delberi. It was in fact my very first session with him. But never mind, I just received a call today saying that they prefer a female tutor. Flare out man! FIRED
This is my own view please don’t be too critical.
I just feel that the kids there are extremely naughty, hyperactive, corrupted in the mind and corrupted in the mouth. I just think that this is something that’s not very positive about childcare centers. It only needs one to influence the rest of the kids in the center, which I feel that is an crucial problem faced by people all over the place.
What to do?
Quoting what John Louis (2007) preached in the SEA Conference sermon, he said that “there are certain things that we can controlled and there are also things that can’t be controlled.”
Cannot be controlled: BAD word of mouth by the kids
Can be controlled: Teach ‘em about it or look out and stop them on the spot.
I think that’s just so much control measure can aid.
But still, they are so adorable in their own ways.
