so... my friend was holding her newspaper and i saw dis article i 4gt wad title. it was something like "beauty is linked with good and bad traits" or something of that sort. Got interested i exchanged papers with him.
After reading, I found that this article is something i totally agree with. Because research shows that how beautiful a person is actually boils down to 1 simple thing: character. Its like there are some ppl you look at them, so pretty so suave. But if they appear to possess lousy character, they in-turn will seem "uglier" than the very 1st time you saw them no matter how well they retain their looks. Whereas a simple-looking person with good character will look more pleasing to the eyes as time passes even though outwardly he or she might have already aged or something. So you see, its really not appropriate to judge people solely by looks.
Then i was thinking, since beauty is something deep within, maybe i should focus more on how to be someone with good cool character instead of being concern with my looks all day when you know one fine day you will eventually turn old n wrinkly. But in reality, u will wanna gain acceptance from ppl.You don't wanna be judged ann looked upon as "ugly", "no style" those kinda things. we will always want to look good... sometimes i try to tell myself that goood looks are not everything but it doesnt help much with all the media and peer influences.
Talking about media influence, especially girls, always wanna pursue certain things that are unrealistic.(this statement was stated 3 years back when i was 15! I am only reposting it from my old blog!) like you see some stars, you start to think they have perfect complexion or beautiful hair, when in actual fact are not. In reality, a lot of these stars are no different from us. Just that we see them often on TV n they are packaged till we see them as "perfect".
I think you all got wad i am conveying cos im lazy to go on typing. so just stop here and allow you to think and reflect on it. =))
